How to buy 2010 SHS football tickets
New District 5-4A officials approve raising general admission prices to $8

Porcupine Stadium holds plenty of folks, but you might want to get a seat early for a few of the big games lined up this autumn.

While District 5-4A officials recently voted to increase general admission ducats to $8 per game, reserved seats at SHS did not increase, remaining at $10 each, $50 for five games.

Following a spring enrollment of current reserved seat holders, just over 100 reserved seats remain for the 2010 season and can be purchased immediately.

Springtown, a preseason pick to reach the postseason out of 5-4A by Texas Football magazine, will play just one home game before district begins.

It’s a big one – Homecoming Sept. 10 against Bridgeport.

Another big game on the schedule is a chance to see the defending state champion Aledo Bearcats. Springtown hosts that potent district rival Oct. 1.

The third essential sports viewing comes on the final game of the regular season when bitter rival Azle comes to the Student Events Complex Nov. 5.

In addition to the game being a possible playoff-maker, it’s Senior Night for a slew of Porcupines.

So how do you get tickets?

Reserved seats for varsity home games are available during the week at the Springtown ISD Central Service Office at 101 East 2nd Street each weekday.

Sales run from 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8-noon on Friday.

No tickets will be sold after noon on Fridays.

Unsold reserved tickets are available to the
general public the week of each game.

To buy general admission tickets to either home or away varsity games, three options are available.

One: at the Central Services Office during the same times with the same Friday afternoon restriction.

Two: at the SHS athletic office Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Friday from 8 until noon. Again, no tickets will be sold after noon.

Three: at the gate on game night.

District 5-4A officials made no changes to subvarsity football – freshman and JV – ticket prices.

More information is available at the SISD Central Services Office (817) 220-1700 or the AD office (817) 220-3040.
