| Springtown roper wins big in Okla. Wednesday, July 14, 2010 Springtown cowboy Steve Marcrum teamed with Henderson’s Matt F. Fowler to beat out 323 other teams and win $7,906 at the United States Team Roping Championships .
At Guthrie, Oklahoma July 2-4, Marcrum-Fowler claimed the bulk of the $37,537 purse, winners in “No. 9” – a seeded competition.
The Oklahoma Championships offer $169,590 and another $35,00-plus in prizes and hosts more than 1,500 teams with 700 ropers from 11 states. |
