| Springfield crowned Miss Springtown 2010 Wednesday, March 03, 2010 Carolea Hassard
Springtown Beautification Committee’s Miss Springtown 2010 is Alyssa Springfield. The committee held is third annual pageant on Saturday at the high school and turned out winners in age categories from high school to infant, plus special categories such as people’s choice awards.
Fifty-nine girls and babies entered this year’s competition. While Miss Junior Springtown 2009 Savannah Davis assisted with crowning winners, Miss Springtown 2009 Erica Gaston was unable to attend because she was boxing in a Texas Golden Gloves competition in Fort Worth.

The hunks were Dylan Ray, J. T Liles, Tyler Bowles, Reed Quinn, Colby Dauenhauer and Cameron Dauenhauer. Cassandra Matthews, Callie Fuller, Madison Gaston and SBC members Wendy Dusek(also pageant coordinator), Amy Walker and Tracy Sutton gave special performances. Master of ceremonies was Mike Hall; judges were Hope Whitaker, Tracy Giese and Denice Caffey; and contest auditors were Paula Turner, Jamie Jennings and Ashley Bryant. David Ward ran audio, while student Brittany Baker ran the lighting. Other workers included Mary Harms, Kim Ware, Jessica Frailey, Lori Randolph, Hannah Mayo, Leslie Broom, Gene Parker, Hunter Randolph, Kelly Wiley, Andrea Hungerford, Jim Nielsen, Oleta Parker and others. Springtown Beautification Committee members include Lori Mayo, Judy Ray, Wendy Dusek, Debbie Dauenhauer, Joe Sampson, Mandy Liles, Tracy Sutton, Jim Nielson, Amy Walker, Susan Wright, Wes Cottongame, Jhanna Bogan, Keith Springfield, Gina Springfield and Lori Randolph. The pageant brought in $8,000 and, less expenses, made a profit of $1,500. Sponsors included The Tomato Vine, Which Wich Sandwich Shop, Kincaid’s Hamburgers, Tony’s Pizza and Pasta, Springtown Flowers and Gifts, Allstate Insurance, Solar Nails, Serenity Tans, Don and Sue Dodgen and Melt Ur Heart Photography. Also, Whitney and Chaney Dusek, Pojo Mom’s Tees, TNT Hair Designs, Highland Furniture, Theresa’s Creations, Wells Fargo, Subway, Christian Alley, Chicken Express, Pinnacle Bank and Caz Wright. Miss Springtown also took home the $500 Kari Keen scholarship, made possible by Angela Stanford, Venita Egler and Lloyd and Francis Sisk. |
