Springtown couple does book to benefit ministry

Sylvia Kahindo, Jan Ninneman, and Scovia Masika

Wally and Jan Ninneman of Springtown have recently published a book to help support their mission work in Uganda and the U.S. and other countries.

Titled Ordinary People – Everyday Champions: 28 Days to Victory, the book uses the story of David and Goliath to cover a “28-day journey combining ten traits of a champion as exhibited by David as he defeated his giant/enemy,” Jan said.

Each “day” ends with a series of questions for self-analysis and Bible chapters and verse for further study.

The book’s references include the Amplified Bible, The Word: The Bible from 26 Translations and The New Strong’s Expanded Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible.

The book is available for $14,99 in softcover, $22.99 in hardback and $4.95 electronically, and can be purchased from www.authorhouse.com or by calling 888-280-7715. Get multiple-book quotes from Jan at 817-528-5908.

The Ninnemans spent all of last December in Uganda working with pastors and bringing Christmas to the children of the Child Development Embassy in Bwera.

One photo from their trip shows a woman cooking in her son’s home. The house is constructed of wooden slats, with a floor of dirt and roof of thatch.

“He sleeps on plastic bags that have been filled with pieces of cloth and more bags,” Jan said. “They have no electricity and cook in clay pots on a small charcoal fire.”
