Debra Lynn Halstead Kelsoe

Debra Lynn Halstead Kelsoe, 46, of Azle, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, in Fort Worth.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at New Life Baptist Church in Keeter. Burial was in Springtown Cemetery under the direction of White’s Funeral Home in Springtown.

Debra Lynn Halstead Kelsoe was born Jan. 28, 1963, in Van Nuys, California, daughter of Malcolm Bruce and Katherine Brown Halstead. She moved to the Parker County area from Haltom City about nine years ago and was a charter member of New Life Baptist Church. She loved to collect cookie jars and family was her top priority. Around the holidays, she was just like a little kid. Christmas was her favorite.

Debra was preceded in death by her father, Bruce Halstead, in 1983; sister, Bridget Halstead in 1988; and niece, Brandy Halstead.


Survivors include her husband, Danny Kelsoe of Azle; children, David Halstead and wife Christi, Rebecca Halstead, Tonya and Len Armstrong, and Tracy Sherrod; grandchildren, Christopher, Nicholas, Jordan, Cody, Danny, Toby, Colten and Caleb; great-granddaughter, Aubrey; mother, Katherine Smith; brothers, Richard Halstead, Brett Halstead and wife Martina, Jason Halstead and wife Kristen, all of Houston; sisters, Marti Erickson and husband Scott of Hurst, Michelle Halstead and husband David Flovin of Weatherford, Callie Manley and husband Jim of Fort Worth; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of loving family and friends.
