Lee (Doad) was a WWII Air Force Veteran of the 487th bomb group of the 8th Air Force. He flew 33 missions over Germany. Upon coming home, he met and built a wonderful life with Norma Gage. They were married 71 years. A respected member of the community, Lee held many titles; Staff Sergeant, Engineer, Deacon, Coach, Cattleman, Entrepreneur, to name a few. The titles he held dearest were first as a Child of God, follower of Jesus Christ, dedicated husband-father-grandfather, loving relative and devoted friend.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Norma Gibson; siblings Bill Gibson and Mildred Hudson; sons David and Dale Gibson; grandsons Wayne and Thomas Gibson, granddaughter Darcy Gibson and great-grandchildren Jack Lee and Raelynn Gibson; as well as many extended family members and friends that he loved dearly.

God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be.

So He put his arms around you and whispered, “Come with Me”.

With tearful eyes we watched you slowly fade away;

Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating and your precious body put to rest;

As God spoke into our hearts,

“I only take the best”
