1936- 2018

Granville Geronimo “Ronny” Martin, 82, of Azle, passed away Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018 after a long struggle with cancer.

Service was at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018, at Biggers Funeral Home Chapel. Interment at Memory Gardens in Parker County. Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Ronny was born March 9, 1936, in Stamford, to the late Granville G. Martin Sr. and Dorothy Lou Ella (Hearn) Martin. He had a passion for trucking, he loved his family, old western movies, poker, horses, his dogs, Jasmine and Jolene, collecting guns, auctions and always in search of a good deal.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Walter Dale and Russell Wayne Martin; grandsons, Granville Geronimo Martin IV and Robert William Walter Ellisworth Martin.

Ronny is survived by his wife, of 63 years, Jannette (Roseberry) Martin; his three children, Granville Geronimo “Randy” Martin III and his wife, Judy, of Reno, Robert Keith Martin of Springtown, Tonya Ferguson and husband Danny, of Mansfield; sisters, Jane Roseberry and Jackie Davis and husband, Dale; grandsons, Shad, Mark, Steven, Zachary, Keith, Joshua and Gabrielle Martin, Tommy Stevens, and David Ferguson; granddaughters, Marie, Mistie and Hannah Martin, Heather Young, Amber Stanford, Tammy Taylor and Shantel Pruitt; 31 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
