Sunshine Rice Willett, 91, of Springtown, passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021.

Funeral Services are at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Greenwood Chapel, 3100 White Settlement Road, Fort Worth, Texas. Following graveside service at Greenwood Memorial Park.

Sunshine Collene Rice Willett was born April 15, 1930 in Brown County, Texas. She graduated from May High School in May, Texas in 1947. She married Eugene Willett in June of 1947. They had two daughters and made a home in Fort Worth for over 50 years. She loved children and spent 35 years working with them in Sunday school as a member of the Baptist Church, Bluebirds, Campfire Girls, Sunbeams, GA’s and choir. She was also active in the PTA.

In 1992, Sunshine and her husband moved to Springtown where they enjoyed living in the country. She loved to sew and bake bread. She was a member of the Lighthouse Country Cowboy Church in Azle. Sunshine and Eugene traveled extensively and enjoyed ballroom dancing. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years. Sunshine was a dedicated loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Eugene Willett; sisters, Earlene Dodd, Ann Wade, and Estelle Bullard; brothers, William Rice and Virgil Rice.

Survivors include her daughters, Reena Hill and husband, Steve; Tammy Hays and husband, James; grandson, Kyle Hays and wife, Tiffany; granddaughters, Rebecca Hill Salazar and husband, Damek; and Britni Hays; great-granddaughters, Kyla and Raylen Hays; sister, Gaytha Faircloth; and many nieces, nephews, and friends she loved so much.
