One win, one loss.

The latter came first for the Lady Porcupine volleyball squad as Springtown (10-12) continued its long non-district slate.

At Sanger, the Lady Porcupines fell in three games.

Carli Haugen (11) and Railey Druxman (9) got the vast majority of Spring-town’s kills.

Rayell Allen and Madison Smith both were credited for a team-high 1.5 blocks.

Things improved vastly at Brock where SHS won in five-games, 25-22, 25-16, 19-25, 16-25, 15-9.

Coach Leighann Strickland said, “Ball control was key along with aggressive serves.”

Match numbers were huge for Springtown.

The Lady Porcupines had 49 blocks (Druxman led with 17); 47 assists (Addison Farris had 25); a stunning 136 digs (Bailey Harmon got 40); and 19 blocks

(2.5 each for Rayleigh Farris and Smith).

SHS’ JV and frosh squads posted wins over Sanger.

The JV won behind Gabby Reynolds, Courtney Fryer, and Skylar Holland.

The freshmen swept Sager with Briana Devlin and Brooklynn Jarvis shining.
