Wanda Juanita Farmer McHan, 90, passed away in Azle, Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018, just 32 days short of her 91st birthday.

Services are private; please contact the family for more information.

Wanda was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.

She was a retired “Call Girl” (telephone operator) for AT&T, first learning her craft from Southwestern Bell.

She loved her long career with the phone company, taking great enjoyment in telling how she took “THE CALL” announcing the death of President Roosevelt (FDR, not Teddy, she wasn’t THAT old she would say).

She leaves a great legacy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Herbert and Goldie Peachie Rumans, sister, Wilma Whitney, brother, Charles Wilbur Farmer; and grandsons, Jules, Dan and Chauncey Payne.

She is survived by her children, Wanda Darrellene Dustin Stierwalt, Dennis George Dustin, Stephen Ray Roberts and Goldie Brawner Browning; 11 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and extended family.
