Johnnie Jo (Ransberger) Weaver, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, in Springtown.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m., Thursday, February 23, White’s Funeral Home in Springtown.
Funeral Service is 10 a.m. Friday, February 24, Hilltop Family Church in Springtown.
Interment at 1:30 p.m., Tyson Cemetery, Pilot Point.
Johnnie was born February 12,1940, in Aubrey; daughter of John William and Myrtie Agnes (Harvey) Ransberger.
She graduated from Birdville High School in 1958 and graduated from Texas Women’s University in 1962.
She met the love of her life, George Tolbert Weaver, and they were married on July 24, 1964. They would go on to spend nearly 40 happy years together before his passing in 2004.
She was an active member of Hilltop Family Church for many years. She was a published author, who loved to read and sing.
Johnnie was a teacher for her entire adult life. She spent over 30 years educating children, and she especially enjoyed her work with children with special needs.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband, George Tolbert Weaver.
Survivors include her children, Jhanna Bogan (Jeff), and Greg Weaver (Becky); grandchildren, Kyle Bogan, Ryan Bogan (Suzanne), Jennifer Duff (Daniel), Charles Darnall (Stephanie), Sarah Johnson (John), Ireland Weaver, and Emily Weaver; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Kylie, McKenzie, Maddie, Connor, Addison, Grace, Greyson, Trinity, and Jameson; brothers, Jim Ransberger, Jack Ransberger, Jeff Ransberger; sisters, Doris Jones, Jerrell Spencer; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other extended family members and friends.
Johnnie was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her.
